Let it Snow! Let is Snow! Let it Snow!

Just another reason that I love being a teacher, winter break! What a beautiful day it turned out to be, a few inches of snow and warm enough to play outside. I love that I get to enjoy the days with Abigail and Ethan. I try to make up for the long days that they have at school and daycare while I am at work. They decided to build a tunnel through a drift and actually worked together to get it done, no fighting! Being just the two of them they spend a lot of time together and sometimes bicker, well most of the time bicker. It was so much fun watching them tackle this fete together. The drift was from a snowplow so the snow was not a soft snow. Afterwards, we did a little sledding in our backyard. Abigail got brave and tried to stand on the sled to go down our small hill, then Ethan thought he could try it. They never made it all the way down but had so much fun trying.

Christmas At Our House

What a great day! There is a reason I am so tired. Abigail awoke rather early and was ready to open presents. In their attempt to see Santa, Abigail and Ethan slept downstairs by the Christmas tree. We were blessed to have Uncle Roger join us for Christmas this year. There were a lot of presents to open, a lot of food to be eaten, a little sledding so be done, some movie watching to be viewed, and more food to enjoy. I took a few pictures to share. Enjoy!

He was here! The milk and cookies are gone...

Wow! Santa did know what I wanted, even after keeping it a secret all of this time.

Yes, one of the 1, 024 jerseys I wanted from Santa.
I guess my favorite player will have to do. I wonder how many days I can wear this before they take it away from me.

Merry Christmas and Happy 2008
from our family to yours!

Welcome to our family blog!

As many of you know, I just finished up my fall semester classes. One of the toughest grad classes that I have taken to date was on technology. I now feel somewhat confident in blogging, podcasting, ans creating wikis. All of this was a foreign language to me in October, my learning curve was a steep one but I made it. Brian can attest to many tears and frustrations on my part, I am thankful that he put up with me this fall. The stress of teaching full-time and taking two grad classes got to me. Brian was a huge support and without him I don't think I would have made it.

Since I did learn how to blog I thought I would put this learning to the test and attempt to keep a family blog. Please check back periodically to see what is happening in our lives.

Abigail and Ethan have a lot of interests and keep us busy, I will try to share photos and keep you posted.

Merry Christmas to everyone and we hope you all have a Happy 2008! By the way, I pick up our holiday cards tomorrow. With a little bit of luck and time they will be in the mail by the end of the week.
